I had a flashback during my workout this morning.
It got to thinking about how many people start a fitness program only to quit (usually within the first 3 weeks). It wasn't just my program they quit, I think the success rate of those who 'try' to get in shape is less than 10% (don't quote me on that one).
One woman popped into my head.
She was a newer mom. Working professional with a great engineering job at Qualcomm. Had support at home from her husband.
She wanted to lose 50lbs so that she would have more energy, and feel stronger when playing with her kid.
She said she was serious and ready to transform her health.
And 6 weeks later, she quit.
Look, I'm not knocking her at all. I've been her so I can say it from experience.
So what happened? Why is it so easy for people to quit the things that would actually move them toward what they want?

PS- Quitting is HARD on your spirit, and it chips away at your confidence, and belief in yourself.
When you give up, not only do you have to start over from scratch again, but you then have to overcome the fact that you gave up!
