When no one's looking [part 1 of 3]

Uncategorized Nov 02, 2022

I share the importance and significance of who you are ‘being,’ often.

Who you are being as a FIRST STEP before you go into "doing" mode. And...

Who you are being is an INDICATOR to what & who you will attract into your life…

Learning this, as Tony Robbins calls it, changing your state, is one of the most profound shifts you can make in your quest to living out your life's purpose.

It’s one of life’s greatest secrets to manifesting.

And here’s the thing-

  • You are ALWAYS manifesting
  • Whether you realize it or not
  • And regardless of whether you LIKE your results or not, you are still manifesting your results

So wouldn’t it be worth it to learn HOW you have, and are, attracting your circumstances, results, experiences, and people into your life?

Of course it would be worth it :)

So today I’m sharing part 1 of a 3 part series called: When no one’s looking: What if who are you BEING is creating your experience and your results?

Over this 3 part series I’ll speak into these 3 areas…

  • Being your word
  • Doing your best
  • Your attitude

Part 1: Being your word

I'll start with a question...

Do you make promises to yourself?

If not, what’s stopping you from making promises to yourself?

Specific things like, promising you will workout this week, or eat healthy, or read a book, or meditate, or take action on a specific goal, or do something that you consider fun.

If you ARE making those type of promises to yourself, my next question is…

Are keeping those promises to yourself?

It’s so important to your overall character that when you say to yourself that you will do any of the above (or anything for that matter), that you do it.

Nobody has to know.

Except for you.

And, you know as well as I know…that you know if you’ve been keeping your promises to yourself, or not.

Why is this important to you being the creator of the life that you deeply want?

When you have the habit of not following through on your promises to yourself, it changes your energy.

The way in which you carry yourself changes.

Things like…

  • Less eye contact
  • A quieter voice
  • A less confident posture
  • Ect

It also changes the way in which you are willing and able to be your word with others.

If you aren’t doing it for yourself, can you really do it for others?

Some will argue yes. And, I will say back to them that you cannot follow through for others to the same degree as you could if you were also following through for yourself.

And, maybe you do it out of obligation rather than service.

When you are not in integrity with your word to yourself, you will erode your belief in your own word.

So, you may still may make promises to yourself, but you know deep down that you don’t really mean it.

When your relationship to your word has eroded, your inner dialog may sound something like this…

  • You say…“I need to workout this week” and your inner voice responds quietly, “Yeah right.”

In other words, it’s a hope, wish, or even a promise out of guilt, instead of making promises out of “knowing” that you will deliver.

What you want is to make a promise (I usually call it a declaration) and KNOW that you will deliver.

Your word carries a weight to it. It’s like a currency.

When you keep your word to yourself, you grow richer in confidence, swagger, your willingness to take risks, your commitment toward that which really matters to you (like your deepest dreams and desires), and even your willingness (and effectiveness) in leading others.

So check in with yourself. You know which of this is resonating, and that which is resonating is your assignment for this week and beyond.

This is by no means a quick fix my friend. I say that in case you tend to put unhealthy pressure on yourself, or even beat yourself up.

It takes practice.

And the first step in that practice is being aware.

Being aware of how often you break your promises to yourself.

And how willing (or unwilling) you are to make specific promises to yourself.

So, let today be a fresh start for you and your relationship to your word.

When you take this on, you WILL transform your energy.

And when you transform your energy, you will transform your experience and your results.

Thoughts?

I’ll be back tomorrow with part 2 my friend.

PS- This will be a consistent focus over the 9 months of my Inner Game Mastery coaching program. If you can see value in...

  • Learning to keep your promises to yourself and to others
  • Delivering on what you declare (and also declaring massive results in your life)

Then Inner Game Mastery would be a great experience for you.

If that resonates, hit reply with "Inner Game" in the subject line and we'll hop on a call to discuss.

PPS- I'll be hosting a LIVE workshop this Friday on this exact topic. Look for a registration page coming soon. The workshop will be this Friday (11/4) from 11-1:30p (Mountain Standard Time)
